Why DEI is still relevant

DTG Work – Why DEI is still relevant and not going anywhere!

Diversity Training Group (DTG) has never been busier. DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) work is constantly evolving and our clients are paying much closer attention to issues related to or focus on trust, in-out groups, retention of talent (think stay or retention and exit interviews) and employee engagement.

The recent Supreme Court ruling on Affirmative Action adds pressure to ensure organizations are more sophisticated in their commitment to their DEI endeavors.  Remember: “If your organization is not Intentionally Inclusive in all your policies, procedures, practices, and policies, you could be Unintentionally Exclusive.”

Below you’ll find links to some helpful resources that further explain today’s DEI landscape as we see it:

To sum things up:

Yes, DEI is under siege but the field is not going anywhere. The idea that organizations will stop identifying their barriers to inclusion and workplace equity is absurd. Basic, fundamental human resource management – sourcing, recruiting, upward mobility – who is leaving, who is staying, stay interviews, exit interviews – this DEI work is here for good.

If anything, DEI professionals need to be more savvy, flexible and innovative. Here at DTG, we’ve never been busier.

Don’t think of it as DEI, consider it workplace survival or civility and basic decency for all!
